PENDANT
This pendant, once glorious, is now nothing more than a rusty disc of metal attached to a rotting band of fabric. It looks like concentric circles were engraved on the front, but they are almost completely worn away now.

The water is murky and brown, with an orange tint. It looks relatively calm today, besides some whitecaps near the horizon.

This pool of water was left behind when the tide went out. It is stagnant and warm, with bugs darting across the top and fish swimming inside.

You can't tell whether the monolithic structure is man-made or if it is some kind of natural formation. In any case, the object the Professor is looking for must be somewhere inside. A placard is attached to the structure by the doorway.

CRYSTAL
This is just a shard of one of the crystals in the Red Room. It is hollow and contains a fiercely swirling gas. The crystal looks very fragile.

The room is full of massive, crystalline structures, whose colors range from deep maroon to light red-orange. Their chaotic yet geometric patterns create a mesmerizing array of shapes and designs.

It's a blue bulb of the type found growing in the Blue Room. This one is detached, although it still emits a fairly strong blue light.

This shiny, lightweight disc is hot to the touch. It has the ability to sense emotions and turn them into energy.

It's an oddly-shaped key, about as long as your forearm. It is quite clean and shiny despite having been lying hidden among the plants.

It is a levitating box with a large keyhole. Besides floating in mid-air by itself, it appears to be a fairly ordinary box made of some kind of pale wood.

Thick, slimy clumps of rotting plants cover the ground. Their tangled, rubbery stems make it hard to walk.

You did it, you found the gem-hat! The wearer of this cap lined with glittering gems is granted instantaneous teleportation powers. You can now leave at any time by simply wearing the gem-hat.

This long blade is surprisingly sharp and clean for having been sitting in the bottom of a lake for who knows how long. It has a rough white handle, ergonomically shaped to match the contours of your hand.

This note is written on a ripped piece of paper in what is clearly the Professor's hand-writing. "The place hasn't been visited in ages, so it might take some work to get to the Auditorium, but it's in there somewhere. If you find it and bring it back to me ... you will be handsomely rewarded." Besides a signature, that is all that is on the note.
