THE BANK:
Richman's Circle Bank is in the centre of London, set on a busy road, next to a café (Terry's Tea) and a hair salon (Snips).
Your surveillance of the building has told you the following:
There is only one guard, stationed at the front door.
On an average Tuesday, about noon, there's approximately eleven customers inside and two staff workers behind the counter.
There is no bulletproof glass between the customers and the staff.
There are five cameras inside the building and one ATM out front.

Your car pulls up across the street from Richman’s Circle; a red BMW, freshly cleaned. Rex had a guy to supply it. It'll be ditched as soon as you're done here. A shame, really.
You sit in the passenger seat and look out to the bank. It looks the same as it did every day you checked it out. You never went inside; you had people for that.
In the back seat sits Big Jerry. He glowers at Rex.
"You're not gonna drive like that when we leave, right?"
Rex frowns, immediately defensive. "What's wrong with my driving?"
"Other than my eighty-year-old Nana could do better-"
"Hey! If you wanna drive-"
"-and she's half blind and can't use both hands-"
Rex raises his voice: "I said if you wanna drive!"

Your car pulls up across the street from Richman’s Circle; a vibrant blue Mercedes that was blasting music from the speakers long before you climbed inside. The driver, Hayley O'Ryan, sings as she drives.
You sit in the passenger seat and look out to the bank. It looks the same as it did every day you checked it out. You never went inside; you had people for that.
Just as you are about to wave Big Jerry out of the car, Hayley stops you.
"Wait," she says, and reaches for the stereo. She spends a moment turning through the channels, frowning through each one; the crease in her brow growing deeper as she finds song after song she doesn't like. "This doesn't bode well," she mutters.
Then, she stops, a hesitant smile on her face.
There is low bass playing out of the speaker and she sits back, nodding to you. She points for you to climb out just as the guitars kick in, and you do.

Your car pulls up across the street from Richman’s Circle; a black McLaren that looks as if it's seen better days. From the moment you climbed inside, the car is dead silent.
You sit in the passenger seat and look out to the bank. It looks the same as it did every day you checked it out. You never went inside; you had people for that.
Today, however, is going to be different.
"Keep the engine running," you tell "Orange". "And don't fuck up like you did on the last job."
The look he sends you could kill a man. You get out of the car quickly to escape it.

Or, North Korea finally nukes everyone. (Alternatively, Donald Trump pretends he's going to push the //NUKE EVERYONE// button, with the aim of making Congress shit themselves, and then accidentally leans on it as he tries to reach his Diet Coke.)
Either way, the Earth suddenly doesn't exist anymore and so we will never know if you manage to rob this bank because it's gone, too.

There's a bag in your suitcase for the money.

You tell Big Jerry to look after the hostages and, keeping your pistol raised, follow the cashier through.
At the first door, she says, "I need to put in a code."
"Go on."
She presses at the buttons until a light turns green and you're through the first door, heading back into an office area where you lodge the barrel of the gun into the small of her back to force her forward.
"Okay, okay." She takes you through another door and down a flight of stairs until you're faced with a circular door of steel. A keypad and card reader on the right, and a locking wheel in the centre of the door.
She looks to you for confirmation and you shove her forward. She presses in a code, swipes her card and turns the wheel.

In the centre is a metallic pallet, piled high with clean, new bank notes.
[[STUFF AS MUCH AS YOU CAN INTO YOUR BAG]]
[[GET THE CASHIER TO DO IT]]You step into the room and, in a scramble, start shoving the money into your bag. Hundreds, thousands of pounds passing through your hands. So much of it.
This is the big leagues.
This is what you've been planning for.
Then, there's a sudden pain in your back and the air leaves your lungs. You fall to one knee, and turn around, where the cashier is holding a fire extinguisher ahead of her, ready to hit you again.
[[SHOOT HER]]
[[FIGHT HER IN THE HONOURABLE SPORT OF HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT]]You shove her into the room and force the bag into her hands.
"Fill it," you order, and so she does, shaking as she goes. She stuffs the wads of notes into the bag; hundreds, thousands of pounds passing through her hands. So much of it.

You yank the extinguisher from her feeble grip and throw it to the side, dropping your gun and bag to the floor as you go. You punch her straight in the face and she stumbles back, blood spurting from her nose.
As she steps back, you step forward, into her space, grabbing her hair and slamming her head against the vault's door frame. She goes limp in your hands, unconscious most likely, and you drop her to the floor.
A small part of you wishes she'd been a better fighter. You could do with a challenge - but there's no time for that in this job. You've already spent too long down here.

Ahead of you, there are flashing lights and you swerve, heading down a side road.
Your back is still killing from the hit of the fire extinguisher, and you're furious at Rex for leaving, and ahead of you the empty road is filling with blue lights and the sound of sirens.

"Where's Rex?" Amy yells as Big Jerry swerves onto another road.
"Big Jerry made him quit!" You shout back. Big Jerry shouldn't have done that.
"He was a shit driver!"
"Better than you!" Amy says.
Then the police cars are ahead of you, behind you. They're everywhere and to give Rex credit - he would've been able to get you out of this. Big Jerry isn't the driver Rex is and he skids to a halt, rolling down the window and shooting his gun at the nearest cop car.

Amy and Big Jerry are in the back, and Hayley's off, the engine screaming as she goes.
She's two roads away before you hear the sirens, but she doesn't react to them, just speeds away, swerving dangerously around corners, and weaving herself through the traffic.
As the first police car comes into view far behind us, the song ends and a new one turns on. It's slower, and you see Hayley's gaze flit between the road and the stereo.
Someone starts singing about a break up.

Amy leans forward from the back. "When do I get my money?"
"When we're safe," you say.
"Can't wait for my 25%," Big Jerry says, lowering his bandana.
Amy scoffs. "Can't wait for my //40//."
There's silence for just a moment, and you see a dark look from "Orange" sent towards you.
"You're getting 40%?" Big Jerry asks.
And then it's loud. Then there's arguing and too many words flying over one another, and you have no chance to help because there's shouting and then there's a gunshot.
You spin around, watching as Big Jerry leans over Amy's bleeding body and, just as "Orange" takes you around a corner, opens the door and shoves her out onto the road.

She scrambles up, opening the cash drawer in the counter. Her fingers shake as she pulls the notes out.
"Not the bottom ones," you say. The bottom ones might be bugged. Or covered in that blue paint that your dry cleaner refuses to clean. "I know that trick."
She nods, pulling out the money and shoving it into your waiting bag.
Behind you, Amy Hawkins climbs to her feet, having faked some medical emergency well enough, and takes a gun from the suitcase.
You and the cashier move to the next till and empty that one, too.
When she's done, you smile at her.
"Thanks," you say.
[[THEN YOU SHOOT HER->then2]]You roll your eyes.
"Fine."
You put a bullet in her skull and move to the next.
[[THE OTHER CASHIER->ask8]]Out on the street, the people who catch sight of you and your guns gasp and scream and run the other way.
You sprint across the road to the car, where Hayley is waiting. You can hear the music; see how she cracks her knuckles right before you throw yourself into the front of the car.
"Change the song," she says.
"What?" Big Jerry asks. "Forget the music! Just drive!"
"Change the song!" she repeats, her voice loud this time.
[[CHANGE THE SONG]]
[[SAY NO]]Out on the street, the people who catch sight of you and your guns gasp and scream and run the other way.
You sprint across the road to the car, where "Orange" is already moving the car. You throw yourself into the vehicle, and he speeds off, weaving in and out of traffic, passing through side roads and heading as far from the sirens as he can.
It's the easiest getaway you've ever had.
Then there's arguing and too many words flying over one another, and you have no chance to help because there's shouting and then when you look around, there's Big Jerry, pulling out his gun.
[[SHOOT BIG JERRY]]
[[SHOOT AMY]]You lean forward and change the song over until you see something you recognise. It has a fast beat to it.
You look over at Hayley, who nods, and you're flung back against the door as she skids around a lorry, onto a tiny side street. The police car, far behind us, can't make the turn and continues on.
Big Jerry swears and shakes his head, but you don't pay attention to him. Keeping your driver happy is important, especially if they're your only escape.
[[JUST DRIVE]]"No! Just drive, O'Ryan! Forget the song!"
Hayley's frown deepens, but she keeps driving. She speeds through the streets, swerving around corners and losing the police at every turn, only for more cars to appear from another road.
You know there's too many of them. Too many cop cars, too many civilian cars. Mistakes were littered in your perfectly laid plan.
Hayley skids the car to a halt when she hits a line of traffic.
"Out the car!" you yell, gripping the bag of money tightly as you leap from the vehicle.
"Should've changed the song," Hayley complains as you begin to run. But there are police everywhere, loaded guns pointing at you.
Big Jerry shoots at them and you duck behind a car for cover. But it's a losing battle, and the police shoot back - you watch Big Jerry's body fall to the ground and swear.
"LOWER YOUR WEAPONS!"
"GET ON THE GROUND!"

Coming out from that street, there's another police car, flashing blue and racing towards you.
Hayley darts out onto the road, the Merc speeding away, but the police car - now two, three of them - is catching.
[[SHOOT AT THE POLICE]]
[[DON'T SHOOT]]"No! Just drive, O'Ryan! Forget the song!"

[[YOU'D RATHER DIE THAN BE CAPTURED]]She drives.
And drives.
And drives.
You reach an underground car park and switch cars. You're in the driver's seat, Hayley next to you. Amy and Big Jerry take the other car. You take off your bandana.
The police are searching for a blue Mercedes.
You drive a red Fiat Punto.
You're home free.
[[STATS->stats4]]You lower the window and shoot at the police, catching a few as you go. Bullets rain down on the Mercedes, breaking the windows. Hayley swerves the car away from the intitial storm, but there's a second - the police are closing in from all sides.
Then you feel the splatter of blood against your skin.
The Mercedes crashes into a parked car at the side of the road, and you look over to Hayley, finding her slumped with a deep, red hole in her temple.
In this pause, the police advance.
"GET OUT OF THE CAR!"
"PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPONS!"

[[STATS->stats3]]Idiot.

Big Jerry, however, is a named wanted man after his face was caught on camera as he shoved Amy's body out of the car.
At Amy's funeral, you watched from afar as her coffin was lowered into the ground.
You get the feeling that Big Jerry might be watching, too.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(Good job, I guess. Can you do better?)You shoot Big Jerry before he has a chance to shoot Amy. You look away, back to where "Orange" is driving, so you don't have to look at his body.
"Thank you," Amy says, quiet.
"Orange" doesn't speak.
He keeps driving, and soon the sirens are catching up, and police are blocking roads and "Orange" never was the most loyal, you suppose, because when he stops the car at last, no road left to drive, he leaps out immedaitely and runs off down a side street.
You cock your gun, watching as a few of the police chase him on foot.
"We make it out of this," you say to Amy, "you can have 50%."
Amy lifts Big Jerry's gun - the semi-automatic.
It's a pipe dream. There are too many of them compared to the two of you.
"LOWER YOUR WEAPONS!" The police shout.
"Let's earn our reward," Amy says.
[[GO DOWN FIGHTING]]You shoot Amy before Big Jerry has the chance to even threaten her with it. Her head snaps back against the headrest before she slumps forward.
Blood splatters against the back window.
Big Jerry stares at you, wide-eyed. "Orange" takes his eyes off the road for a moment too long as he watches you, and has to swerve to avoid collision with another car.
"She isn't getting a higher cut anymore," you say, though maybe you just killed her so Big Jerry couldn't have the satisfaction. You're not sure.
"I'll dump the body," Big Jerry says, leaning across her to her door.
"Don't," you reply. "We'll bury her ourselves."

She starts unloading notes into the bag and you watch, smiling.
Big Jerry totes his gun around the room as he looks over the customers, occasionally taking their jewellery or, in some cases, the money from their bags.
"Wonderful," you say, taking the bag when she's done.
Then you shoot her.

"Don't move," Big Jerry says. "Or the next one's going in you."
They freeze and you turn back to the guard.
"Or," you say, "the next bullet could go in you. Out the way."
He pauses before going slack. He moves aside.
You and Big Jerry head for the door.
[[SHOOT THE GUARD ANYWAY]]//YOU WANTED TO DRIVE, ASSHOLE//
[[OH SHIT]]"That piece of shit," Big Jerry says.
"Indeed," you reply.
You have a few seconds. The bomb will distract for only a minute. The bomb won't attract every cop car.
[[HOTWIRE THE CAR->hotwire3]]
[[STEAL A CAR]]Out front, you see the car, flashy and red.
But there isn't a driver.
[[THERE IS, HOWEVER, A NOTE IN THE WINDOW]]You run back out into the centre of the road and a car skids to a halt ahead of you. You point your gun at the driver, running around to their door.
"Get out the car!"
Big Jerry runs to the passenger side, pulls it open and yanks the passenger out.
The driver's side door opens and the man sitting there climbs out, asking you not to shoot. You shove him aside and jump into his car, accelerating away before Big Jerry even shuts his door.
You do well for a minute. You drive dangerously, recklessly; weaving in and out of the traffic - but you're no Rex. You're no getaway driver.
When the police cars come, and they do, you can't swerve like Rex - you can't evade capture, can't perform 180-degree turns, can't mislead the cops like him.
So, eventually, you reach their blockade and skid to a stop.
Big Jerry looks at you from the passenger seat.
"I got a daughter," he tells you, "and it's gonna be your fault if I don't get to see her for the next ten years."
Though, really, you think it's his.
[[LEAVE THE CAR WITH YOUR HANDS UP]]You leap into the driver's seat, the car keys missing.
You swear Rex out as you search for the wires under the steering wheel.
"Boss," Big Jerry interjects. "The little shit slashed the tyres."
You stop, slam your hand against the horn, and jump out from the car.
[[RUN]]Your feet pound against the pavement as you sprint down the street, gun in one hand, bag of cash in the other. Big Jerry is right on your heel as you go; the two of you barrelling through busy city streets.
The sirens shouldn't be so close, but they are. They're searching for you.
And then they're ahead of you; flashing lights that make you swerve, sending you down a side road.
The empty road fills with the sound of sirens. Was the bomb not big enough? Or were you too slow? Maybe you should've killed everyone in that bank, or maybe that asshole shouldn't have slashed the goddamn tyres.
A cop leaps from the car, gun in hand and promptly ducks away when Big Jerry fires on him.
You turn to run back, but there's a car there, too.
//Shit.// Three police - four, now - all with guns pointed straight at you.

The song Hayley switched on is still playing and she's singing into a waterbottle that she throws onto the back seat when you enter her line of sight. Immediately, the engine revs and she's ready as you leap into the car.
She reverses down the street, turning suddenly onto another road and flooring it past the traffic.
She makes good time before the sirens get close. They were distant for so long, distracted by the explosion, but now they're chasing you, and she brakes hard as you come to the end of a long line of traffic.

[[SHOOT THE GUARD ANYWAY->anyway]]You run down the street, gun in one hand, bag in the other. The traffic spreads along the road to where you can see a traffic light, currently bright red.
The sirens are gaining.
"That one!" Hayley shouts, pointing towards the first car in the line up. It's green, no where near as fast as the Merc Hayley had lovingly chosen.
At the car, you bang on the window with your gun and force the driver from the car. Hayley leaps into the driver's seat and you follow Big Jerry into the back.
The light turns amber.
Hayley is tuning the radio.
"Move!" you yell, but it's no use.
The light changes to green, and you watch out of the back window as policemen run along the road, guns drawn.
"O'RYAN," you shout.
The radio keeps tuning.
[[SHOOT THE COPS THROUGH THE BACK WINDOW]]
[[WAIT FOR HAYLEY]]Out front, you see the car, vibrant blue.

[["OUTTA THE CAR", YOU SAY]]You turn, raising your gun and shooting as the radio turns and tunes and spins and the noises cut in and out, separated with static. Glass sprays around and the police duck behind cars.
You lay down a covering fire and Hayley swears as she struggles to find a radio station.
"Just go!" Big Jerry yells.
The light is green.
The police are advancing.
You let out another spray of bullets.
"Fine!" Hayley replies, but you can tell that the music's not right. It's not like the song she sent you off to - it's got more of a beat, less anger in the lyrics.
You speed away from the line of traffic, and are met with flashing blue cars on either side, keeping pace as Hayley tries to get ahead. She growls and slams on her brakes, the car lurching back behind the police. Hayley swerves the car away, down another road, but there are cars still behind you. The police are still following.
Hayley lets out a colourful string of curses, and you recognise something familiar: she's lost the faith.
You wish she'd found the right song.
The car makes another corner, between two buildings, but there's a cop car waiting there, police with their guns drawn. Hayley starts to reverse as they park behind you, too.
[[SHIT]]The police get closer.
The radio turns over.

Why didn't you go into the vault? It was always there, on your plan - but you decided against it. Big Jerry had said that going into the vault would be riskier, even with the bomb.

[[THE VAULT OPENS->opens3]]You point your pistol at the nearest cashier, storming towards them. She's young, terrified, with her hands raised in surrender.

She hesitates, and then starts piling the money into your bag.
"Not the bottom ones," you say. You know that trick.
She does as she's told, and a moment later, you're heading back out to the street, Randall taking the gun you hand him as you go.

In the centre is a metallic pallet, piled high with clean, new bank notes.
You take one more look at the cashier and send a bullet flying through her gut, then you scramble to fill your bag with the money.
Upstairs, the hostages are lying on the floor, still shaking and crying and pleading quietly.
You head straight past them, to where Big Jerry stands with his semi-automatic. Randall Staunton, now finished distracting the guard, stands next to him, toting a gun from your suitcase.
Faintly, in the distance, you can hear the sirens of the police, copping onto the robbery. There must've been a silent alarm somewhere. Or maybe someone outside phoned.

[[RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN]]You run the only direction you can think of: away from the police station, and towards the secondary car you were supposed to switch to.
Big Jerry complains the whole time. Randall curses a lot.
It's very difficult to look inconspicuous while covering your face with a bandana and running through the streets with loaded guns. You don't manage it well.
You keep running and you force yourself to sprint even faster when the sirens start in the distance.
But you're on foot, the cops are in their cars, and traffic is moving too quickly for you to steal anything. So you're just going, tightly gripping your money bag and hoping that you can find a way out of this before you're caught.
But there are the cops, and Big Jerry is spraying them with bullets, and Randall is shoving a woman ahead of him like a human shield, and you duck behind a car; windows shattering right above your head.
You look at your accomplices.
You look at the woman, caught with bullets before the cops stopped shooting them.
You know your choices. In the end, they're the only two choices you'll ever have.

[[PLAY AGAIN]]
('They All Die In The End' is a cop-out ending)From prison, you send out your remaining people to make your ex-getaway driver's life a living hell. They deserve it, that fucker.
In prison, though, the food isn't all that bad and you get two hours of TV time a day. Maybe you should've come here earlier.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(There's an 'Everyone Dies At The End' ending out there, if you want it)The vault is through a series of doors and down a flight of stairs, where a circular door of steel stands, opposing and silent. You prod forward the cashier with your gun, and with a shaking hand she types in the numbers to the keypad, swipes her card across the card reader and pulls on the wheel in the centre of the door until it swings open.
Inside is a grey room, with a large stack of notes piled up in the centre.
"BOSS!" Amy's voice calls from up the stairs. "Police are here!"
They're early. You expected to have more time.
[[SHOOT THE CASHIER AND GRAB THE MONEY]]Back upstairs, your bag heavy with cash, you hide behind the counter with Amy.
The Destroyer is closer to the doors, still out of sight from the outside, but with a good angle on the door, should the police come inside.
"We claimed we have hostages," Amy tells you. It's a bold lie, considering there are twenty bodies dead on the floor.
"Is Rex still outside?" you ask.
Amy nods. "Waiting on us."
[[OKAY PLAN B]]"Let's wait it out a bit longer," you say. "Destroyer-"
"//The// Destroyer," he corrects.
"The Destroyer, signal Rex. Bring the car to us."
The Destroyer moves from his crouch, rolls across the ground and makes his way to the window. He ducks in and out, trying to catch Rex's attention. After whistling and knocking lightly on the glass, it's clear that Rex hasn't seen any of it.
The Destroyer pulls out his burner phone, rolling his eyes.
He dials and presses the phone to his ear. "Bring the car to us," he says, then hangs up and ducks back to where you're standing.
A minute passes before a police car smashes through the front window of Richman's Circle, and the shouts from outside begin.
[[TO THE CAR]]In the front seat of the cop car, Rex smirks.
You leap into the car, ducking down as far as you can go as the gun fire begins on the police car. Rex reverses the car out of the building, hitting someone in the process, and slams his foot down on the accelerator.
He drives you down the pavement, pedestrians jumping aside, before sending you onto the road and squealing away from the police, now rushing to their cars.
He swerves violently and recklessly around corners, taking the turns wide and fast - weaving in and out of traffic and heading away from main roads before turning back onto them.
Traffic begins to get worse, and he doesn't even hesitate before reaching over and switching on the sirens.
The bullet-riddled car screams and flashes blue, and traffic moves aside for it, creating a path for him to fly through.
He doesn't look phased when we come upon a police blockade - just swerves suddenly to the right and keeps on going.
[[YOU HAVE A DAMN GOOD DRIVER]]After switching cars somewhere along the line, you have time to think, driving the car with Rex in the passenger seat, chewing gum and listening to music on his headphones.
Amy was no help in this heist and The Destroyer...
The Destroyer killed everyone. There are very different sentences in prison for bank robbers and mass murderers - and there are very different amounts of resources that police use for catching the two.
There are decisions to be made, and that bag of money at Rex's feet is involved in it.
[[KILL AMY - SHE'S USELESS]]
[[KILL THE DESTROYER - HE COULD'VE KILLED YOU]]
[[KILL REX - WHY NOT]]
[[KILL NO ONE]]As Amy climbs out of the car, you shoot her through the side of the head. She's dead before she hits the ground.
[[KILL THE DETROYER TOO]]
[[THAT'S ENOUGH]]As The Destroyer climbs out of the car, when you're finally safe, you shoot him three times in the back of the head. Faster than he's able to draw his weapon.
[[KILL AMY - FINISH THE JOB]]
[[THAT'S ENOUGH KILLING]]You consider it for a second, and then you realise that's a stupid thing to do and don't.
Why would you want to hurt Rex?

Hesitant, he reappears.
"You sure?" he asks.

[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(You can do better than killing all your partners)You have to find a new diversion for your jobs, but you don't mind too much. The Destroyer knows a guy who likes blowing things up and doesn't care about people's lives - which, really is on par for the sort of friends you imagine he'd have.

In the back, The Destroyer and Amy bicker about something. You think it might be politics - but Amy's getting riled up and The Destroyer is smirking like this means he's winning. You look over to Hayley, and she meets your eye for a moment.
You give a small nod to the people in the back seat, and she takes the gun from the cupholder you shoved it in. Your other one is still sitting neatly in your lap. She holds it casually, like she's just looking, but it's an answer. It's an answer you didn't expect from Hayley - you assumed she'd oppose it.
Eventually, you park the car.

The Destroyer's gun is raised on her in a second and she freezes.
"What the hell was that?" he demands.

You figure Hayley will want you to make this up to her some day.
[[STATS->stats21]]"What the fuck, O'Ryan?" you cry, pretending to be shocked.
There's shock and rage and hurt in her eyes and for a heartbeat, you feel bad about it.
"You-" she gets out, before a bullet lands itself in her chest. As she stares down at it, surprised, another flies into her forehead.

That makes people scream.
Rex gets you away from them, fast. He speeds down the streets, away from the detonation target. With less than fifteen seconds before the bomb is due to go off, Rex spins the car into a side alley.
"You sure about this?" he asks.
[[YES - PLAN A'S A WINNER]]
[[OKAY, NO, LET'S DO PLAN B]]"Trust me," you reply, so Rex parks the car and you all jump out, rushing down the alley to where an inconspicuous Corsa Excite is parked. Out of all the cars you've ever seen, it's the least Exciting.

It's far away from you and you have a head start on your escape.
You let out a breath and Rex keeps driving as if you didn't have the money in your hands. When police cars pass you, sirens wailing - and they do, many of them - you try not to look concerned, and Rex doesn't speed up, but pulls to the side to let them pass.
One by one, they pass you, searching for a bomber, not a bank robber.
[[STATS->stats26]]"Change of plans," you say suddenly. "Stick with this car. Get us the fuck outta here."

Cars swerve to avoid you and you hold on tight to the money in your lap. Fifteen seconds later, you hear the explosion, far away. The sirens start up almost immediately after and Rex slams his foot on the accelerator to get away from them.
Maybe they wouldn't have noticed you in the slower car you were going to change to - but maybe they would've. And now you've got three cars on your ass and Rex is swearing under his breath as he drives.
You catch sight of a side road coming up. You know there's an exit - you could lose the cops on the sharp bend.
[["THERE!"]]
[[SAY NOTHING]]BANK: SUCCESSFULLY ROBBED
ESCAPE: ACHIEVED
ACCOMPLICES AT THE END: THREE
[[CONGRATS->congrats14]]You point and Rex nods, swerving so suddenly that you hit the door, the air knocked from your lungs. He's doing everything he can to aim the car for the road, but it's not enough.
You're going too fast.
You see the wall race up to meet you and then you see nothing at all.
[[STATS->stats27]]Rex keeps driving and the road passes you by. You keep going but it's not enough - the roads are too packed for the speed Rex is driving at, and the police cars are growing in number.
Up ahead, you can see a new group of flashing lights.
Rex skids to a halt to avoid crashing.
[[STATS->stats28]]BANK: UNSUCCESSFULLY ROBBED
ESCAPE: FAILED
ACCOMPLICES AT THE END: THREE - BUT YOU'RE DEAD, SO CAN YOU EVEN HAVE ACCOMPLICES ANYMORE?
[[AFTERMATH->aftermath21]]BANK: UNSUCCESSFULLY ROBBED
ESCAPE: FAILED
ACCOMPLICES AT THE END: THREE
[[AFTERMATH->aftermath22]]After ditching the non-exciting Corsa Excite, you all go your separate ways.
You watch the news report - the bombing linked immediately with the robbery, but there being no arrests, let alone any suspects.
You smile, and start planning.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(Woop-de-doo)Well, I mean, you're dead, so is there really an aftermath for you?
Your coffin is cheaply made and no one comes to your funeral. Your name is spelled incorrectly on your gravestone.
The gravedigger loses his watch while burying you, so you have to be unburied and then reburied again - and still, no one comes to say goodbye.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(Wow you have no friends, that's depressing)You and your accomplices are arrested, including Francis the bomb-guy, because if you're going down, you might as well take everyone with you.
You don't like the prison food and you wish you have more TV hours than you're given.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(Crime never pays, or something like that)The Destroyer makes his way around the room, tugging off bracelets, necklaces, rings. He takes watches, too; stuffing them in the pockets of his trenchcoat and in the suitcase.
The cashier finishes with the cash, and you yank the bag away.
Two minutes left, not bad.
[[HEAD FOR THE CAR->car123456]]Outside, people only panic when they see the guns. You don't hear any sirens yet, but a guard from a nearby store does take a bullet to the gut from The Destroyer when they ask you to stop.
That makes people scream.
In the car, though, Hayley doesn't get you away from them. She instead sits, turning the dials of the stereo, a frown painted across her face.
"What are you doing?" The Destroyer yells from the back seat.
"Wait a minute," Hayley mutters.
"We don't have a minute!"
You check your watch. You have a minute a forty-three, forty-two, forty-one.
"Get us out of here!" you shout. "That's an order!"
Growling, Hayley switches off the stereo altogether. No music is better than the wrong music.
[[YOU'RE OUTTA HERE->outtta]]Hayley's trying and you can tell, but there's something not right with her - like she's been thrown off her game and she can't seem to get it back.
At the corners, she's clumsy.
Passing traffic, she's slow.
[[AT THE SOUND OF THE EXPLOSION, SHE JUMPS]]It echoes in the distance, but the police were already on your tail.
You watch, wide-eyed in the rearview mirror, as the flashing blue lights appear in the distance, not turning towards the bomb.
You have little options now.
[[LET HAYLEY DRIVE]]
[[TRY TO FIND THE RIGHT SONG]]You let her drive. She's a good driver; you've seen her race, seen the fire that usually burns in her eyes and spreads through her fingertips, engulfing the car in glames. She just doesn't have that about her today.
Surely, it'll be okay.
But the police gain faster than you expected, and Hayley skids to a stop, having not seen the line of traffic ahead.
She swears and slams her hand against the steering wheel before reversing to turn.
But it's too late.
The cop cars at stopping and the police are jumping out, guns loaded.
The Destroyer makes a sound familiar to a roar.
[[YOU'RE ARRESTED WITH YOUR ACCOMPLICES]]Reaching over to the stereo, you flick it on.
"What are you doing?" The Destroyer and Hayley ask in tandem.
You don't reply, just tune through the stations, letting each one play for a snippet before changing to the next. Advert, weather, talk show, ballad. None of this is car chase music and you're throwing Hayley off more than you're helping her.
"Stop it!" she complains, trying to bat your hand away.
But the damage is done, and Hayley swerves suddenly, trying to catch a side road and missing by a hair. There's anger in her, you can tell - she's pissed and she's over it all, so she faces the police that are following you head on and slams her foot onto the accelerator.
The car speeds towards the cop cars and you scream, The Destroyer yells, and at the last moment she changes course, turning past them, against the flow of traffic.
It was a good move, throwing them off as well as you, but it wasn't enough.
More police file in ahead, and driving against the traffic slows Hayley to a halt.
[[YOU'RE ARRESTED WITH YOUR ACCOMPLICES]]BANK: UNSUCCESSFULLY ROBBED
ESCAPE: FAILED
ACCOMPLICES AT THE END: THREE
[[AFTERMATH->aftermath25]]You rat out Francis Ezikiel for a lower sentence.
A scrawny man with a good right hook threatens you in your cell in the middle of the night with a filed toothbrush. He said you should watch your back for having Ezikiel put away.
The next day, you call on one of your prison rats to murder Francis Ezikiel while he sleeps.
You hear it went well.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(Please note: Hayley is precious about her music)As the cashier piles the money into the bag, gun shots ring out over and over and over. People scream, cry, run - they try to dart for the entrance and are caught in the back by The Destroyer's expert precision.
It's a blood bath, and you watch, marvelling at his work.
When the cashier is finished, you take the bag from her hands.
"Much appreciated," you say, before shooting her in the head. Might as well do some of the work yourself.
Just less than two minutes left before the explosion. You reach down and pick up the sparkling necklace from the body of one of the victims.
[[HEAD FOR THE CAR->car123457]]Inside the car, "Orange" watches you both carefully. He's like that; an eye on everything.
You clamber in and he speeds off immediately.
"Well, that went well," you say, rifling through the money. You're careful about it, knowing the tricks and finding a small paperclip on the bottom of one of the notes. It has an edge to it, like there's something more there - so you shake your head and throw the paperclip out the window. You don't have time to deal with trackers.
"I think we should've gone for the vault," The Destroyer says from the back seat.
"If we went for the vault, we wouldn't be out before the bomb," you reply. "We need the extra time to get away."
As you say this, "Orange" turns a corner, and you notice, for the first time, that he's not headed out towards the switch car. It would be like him to take a convoluted route - but this seems to be heading towards the bomb target.
Just as you think this, the explosion sounds.
[[YOU WATCH THE FRONT OF A BUILDING BURST OPEN WITH FIRE]]You jump back, ready to turn on "Orange" and swear - but out the window there's a familiar face, hood up, jogging through the sprinting crowds.
Francis Ezikiel: a man with an affinity for explosives.
"Orange" stops the car nearby and waves to Ezikiel. This isn't part of the plan.
Ezikiel hesitates out in the street before climbing into the car.
"I was gonna take the bus," he says. "This ain't part of the plan."
"No," you mutter, "it isn't."
"Orange" drives slow through the halted traffic and your heart thumps loud in your chest. The sirens sound over the screaming, blue flashing lights appearing a moment later. "Orange" speeds up - is this too obvious? You swallow tight and stare out the front window and "Orange" skids the car to a halt directly in front of the police car.
"What the f-"
The words are almost out when "Orange" slams the door shut behind him, darting away into the crowd. The Destroyer leans over Ezikiel, firing bullets towards "Orange's" retreating body - you're sure you see him stumble from a hit.
The police approach your car with their guns raised, and with no one in the driver's seat, you slowly raise your hands.
[[YOU ARE ARRESTED WITH YOUR ACCOMPLICES]]BANK: UNSUCCESSFULLY ROBBED
ESCAPE: FAILED
ACCOMPLICES AT THE END: TWO
[[AFTERMATH->aftermath26]]A fucking snitch, that's what he was.
"Orange" - such a stupid name - had it out for Ezikiel personally. It //was// understandable - Ezikiel's fuckin' racist. But to hurt you - a non-racist, intersectional feminist? You call bullshit.
In prison, facing your charges over the deaths of all the people in the bank - nineteen - and the people who died from the bombing - twenty-six - as well as the robbery and ties with terrorism, you send out your people to search for "Orange".
Only thing is, you don't actually know his name.
Your people come back with someone, probably just to make you happy - you tell them to kill him, but you're certain as you do so that this is not the man you're after.
Loose ends are unforgivable in this business, and you hate it.
[[PLAY AGAIN]]
(You achieved: the snitch ending!)With one shot, the guard is flat on his back.
Randall sweeps his gun out towards the hostages, and you turn back to the cashiers. They're piling money into the case, but it's not enough for all the effort.
"Vault," you say. "You've got one. Take me there."
The cashiers are quivering, crying.
You take The Destroyer's suitcase, and climb over the counter, shoving the gun towards the nearest cashier.
"Now," you say.
[[TO THE VAULT]]She leads you through doors and down stairs, typing in keycodes and swiping her card as she goes.
Eventually, you reach the vault; a large circular steel door embeded in the wall. She opens it, revealing a grey room with a pile of neatly stacked money in the centre.
You step into the room and, in a scramble, start shoving the money into your case.
[[SHOOT HER->shootttt]]
[[FIGHT HER IN THE HONOURABLE SPORT OF HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT->combattt]]The blood splatters back at you. The fire extinfuisher drops to the floor and the sound of its clatter echoes.
You finish filling the case and run back upstairs, just in time to see Randall collapse.
[[...WHAT]]Man, you haven't fought like this in a while. It feels good.
You finish filling the case and run back up to the bank.
[[THERE, RANDALL IS ON THE FLOOR]]"I didn't do nothin'" The Destroyer says, holding the case in one hand.
"Narcolepsy," you reply with a shrug.
A few more of the clientele are dead, including the woman with the black eye.
"Carry him," you say, taking the case from The Destroyer.
"I won't be able to cover us," The Destroyer replies.
"Carry him with one arm."
It's an order.
You rush out of bank, Randall flung over one shoulder and head towards the car.
[[REX IS ALREADY REVVING THE ENGINE]]"The fuck?" The Destroyer says, ducking away from Randall as if a sniper had caught him.
"Narcolepsy," you reply, shaking your head.

You rush out of bank, Randall flung over one shoulder and head towards the car.
[[REX IS ALREADY REVVING THE ENGINE]]You leap into the front seat, chucking a suitcase into the back as The Destroyer wrestles Randall's body into the car. Your Muscle is barely even in by the time Rex is speeding away from the pavement.
You check in the back: Randall is a heap strewn across the seats, his head resting uncomfortably on the suitcase.
[[WAKE HIM]]
[[NO, WAIT A SECOND]]"Wake him up," you tell The Destroyer, who shoves at Randall until he stirs. "Of all the times to fall asleep."
"Sorry, boss," Randall mutters, clambering into the seat properly. He's thrown to the side when Rex skids around a corner.
"Don't you have medication for that or something?" you ask, but Randall doesn't reply, just moves until the money case is on his lap.
"My throat is sore from al the yelling," he says a moment later as Rex swerves into a 180 spin, spotting the police cars at the end of the road. "Anyone have a throat lozenge?"
The Destroyer punches him in the arm.
"Ow! Jeez, a simple no would've sufficed."
[[REX DRIVES AND RANDALL DOESN'T STOP TALKING]]You look at Randall, asleep, and then you look the gun in The Destroyer's hand.
"Kill him," you say.
"Fucking hell," Rex says. "That's a bit extreme."
"He'll talk if we just leave him."
"Do we have to kill him? What's wrong with just leaving him alive? Why does he have to go?"
You shake your head. "We'll all get bigger cuts if he does."
The Destroyer says: "I'll kill him if you're ordering me to."
Rex says: "How about we not kill the guy?"
[[OKAY REX, YOU'RE RIGHT->WAKE HIM]]

And then you're changing cars in the corner of a secluded car park and Randall is asking "Can I drive?" and everyone else is saying "No" in tandem.
