Section 23 - Horse Ride
before mounting dobby for the first time:
now the left hand status line is "You are riding the horse.";
say "With some hesitation you grab hold of Dylan you mount the horse. The last time you rode her she bolted, ran like the wind and gave you a terrifying experience, but she's older now and surely a lot more chilled out.[paragraph break] Dobby starts walking North. then trotting, then cantering, and very quickly (Oh God No!!) you are at full galloping speed and struggling to cling on to her and to Dylan.
[bold type]You are at the Southbank of the River Void.[roman type]
Dobby shows no sign of slowing down as you head towards the river edge, the horse leaps without hesitation and you are flying high across the river. You let out an involuntary yell of fear. Dylan whimpers.[paragraph break]";
wait 6000 milliseconds before continuing;
say "You land on the [bold type]Northern Bank of The River Void[roman type], still clinging on to the horse that is still in full gallop, its hooves pounding the ground with a noise like rolling thunder.[paragraph break]";
wait 7000 milliseconds before continuing;
say "[bold type]You are at the Woodland Clearing[roman type],
You are now moving at breakneck speed, the wind whistles past your ears and you find it hard to catch your breath. Dylan's tongue is hanging out of his mouth, as his ears flap around in the breeze, he seems to be enjoying it now![paragraph break]";
wait 9000 milliseconds before continuing;
say "[bold type]You are at the Northern Woods[roman type]
You can just make out the blurred image of the Twisted Oak tree as you fly by. Dylan barks.[paragraph break]";
wait 8000 milliseconds before continuing;
say "[bold type]You are at the Southern Meadow[roman type]
With still no slowing in the pace of the horse. You cling on for grim death.[paragraph break]";
wait 9000 milliseconds before continuing;
say "[bold type]You are at the Northern Meadow outside your Hovel[roman type]
Suddenly the horse rears to a stop, whinnying so loudly the whole kingdom must have heard it. The sudden stop nearly sends you flying off.
You cling on, muttering curses and silent prayers under your breath. Thank goodness that's over.
Shaking with adrenaline you take the opportunity to dismount from the horse. Dylan jumps down to the ground by your side, his tail wagging.
The Horse slowly turns around to face South, paws the ground with its hoof, and then starts moving again breaking into a gallop and it's off out of sight.[paragraph break]";
wait 10000 milliseconds before continuing;
now player is in northern meadow;
now the left hand status line is "You are in: [the printed name of the location]";
rule succeeds instead.
Instead of mounting dobby for second time:
Say "After careful consideration you decide not to. You don't think your heart can take another equine rollercoaster ride."
