If player is holding weird instrument:
If snake is awake:
Say "You start playing the weird instrument. The snake moves towards you and with trembling hands you hold your ground and continue to play. The snake rears up and comes so close you can smell its warm rank breath on your face. Its eyes appear to glaze and it starts swaying from side to side. As you continue to play the snake nods its head to the hypnotic droning sound. The snake curls up on the ground, closes its eyes, and begins to snore.";
Now the snake is asleep;
Else:
Say "The snake is already charmed and asleep.";
Else:
Say "You have nothing to charm the snake with, except for your personality; sparkling as it is, you doubt it would work.";
Else:
Say "There is no snake here!"
Instead of examining the snake when the snake is awake for the first time:
Say "A huge yellow and brown snake lies coiled up in front of the cave entrance. As you stand frozen in fear it raises itself up, glaring at you with its cold yellow eyes. It suddenly lets out a bloodcurdling hiss. You leap backwards and Dylan lets out a whimper.[paragraph break] It looks like it is approximately 3.142 metres long, so you're guessing it's a python. "
Instead of examining the snake when the snake is awake:
Say "A huge yellow and brown snake lies coiled up in front of the entrance to the cave. It stares at you with its cold yellow eyes, as if daring you to make a move. You can feel Dylan trembling at your side."
