From: Volker Blasius Newsgroups: rec.arts.int-fiction,rec.games.int-fiction,comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.adventure Subject: Penguin/Polarware games wanted! Date: Tue, 01 Apr 1997 18:21:21 +0200 Organization: GMD - German National Research Center for Information Technology Hi Everyone, Mark Pelczarski , ex-owner of Penguin/Polarware, has allowed distribution of their classic adventures. The games are: - Transylvania - The Crimson Crown (Transylvania II) - The Coveted Mirror - Oo-Topos (only the PolarWare version, not the original Sentient release!) - Talisman - Transylvania III The games were released for: Apple II, 8-bit Atari, PC (both 4-color and 16-color versions), Mac, Amiga, and Atari ST. Some of the Apple II ones are in the archive already: ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/games/appleII/penguin/trans.zip ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/games/appleII/penguin/crown.zip ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/games/appleII/penguin/mirror.zip ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/games/appleII/penguin/ootopos.zip and we are looking for all the others (esp. the Amiga/ST versions because they had the best graphics, and the 16-color PC versions) to add them to the archive's collection. Please upload to /incoming/if-archive/ if you have one of the games or versions that are still missing! Volker Blasius (Thanks to Paul David Doherty for the information)
